Getting to choose between different engines makes your car-buying experience even better. We understand that different drivers want different things, so we’re pleased to show you that both the INFINITI Q50 and the Cadillac CT5 offer two powertrain options.

In addition, both models can be equipped with either standard rear-wheel drive or available all-wheel drive.

As for power, the INFINITI Q50 ranks above the competition with a standard 3.0L V6 engine that puts out 300 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, giving you some extra oomph. The standard 2.0L engine of the Cadillac CT5, while impressive, only puts out up to 237 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque.

This pattern continues when you upgrade either model. While the CT5 can increase output up to 335 horsepower with its available 3.0L V6 engine, the Q50 blows it out of the water with an output of up to 400 horsepower.

These luxury sedans are neck and neck when it comes to their interior amenities. They both have leather-appointed seating, power-adjustable front seats, and dual-zone automatic temperature control systems.

In the Q50, the climate control system comes with a microfilter and can be upgraded to include auto-recirculation, Plasmacluster™ Air Purifier, and Grape Polyphenol Filter. Similarly, the CT5 has a standard air filter and can be upgraded as well.

The similarities between the two models continue when you shift your focus to technology. Both come with impressive infotainment systems that offer wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ and a WiFi Hotspot. However, you’ll notice a few key differences.

Where the CT5 has a singular 10-inch touchscreen, the Q50 offers dual screens–an upper 8-inch and a lower 7-inch one—giving you a combined 15 inches worth of screen space. Plus, the 16-speaker Bose® Performance Series Audio system of the Q50 will give you better quality than the standard 9-speaker system in the CT5.

Whether you’re parallel parking or turning down a one-way street downtown, having a smaller vehicle like these models makes it easier to navigate around obstacles, maneuver down city streets, and make sharp turns.

While both models offer decent dimensions, you’ll find it a bit easier to get around in the Q50 due to the 189.6-inch length and 71.8-inch width of its body. The CT5, on the other hand, may be a tight fit with a length of 193.8 inches and width of 74.1 inches.

You may think that a larger vehicle body means more room to get comfortable, right? In the case of the CT5, though, you’ll only have 39 inches of headroom and 42.4 inches of legroom in the front row. Even rear-row passengers have less room with just 36.6 inches of headroom and 55.7 inches of shoulder room.
